sisterly love:)

Having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of.  You know whatever you do, they'll still be there even if you want them to or not. I have two sisters one older she is 9 years older then me yes very much older, also another that is 11 months younger. So we are very close we do everything together. We went to the same school most of out high school year till this year since I am in college and she is a senior. We share a car and some times clothes, which it really is I share mine and I don’t like it at all! Do not get me wrong I love my sister we a have out great times together.

Just like my older sister to will we use to not talk since of course I was 9 years younger then her. Now all we do is talk I call her every week to check in on her and the baby since she did just have her like a month ago. For Christmas I am going to make each of them a scrapbook of all of the fun memorize that we had and shared. Nothing is better then giving something they will cherish for ever so give it a try make one for Christmas.

  1. you grab some picture that you have or print them off the computer.
  2. see what supplies like fun stickers and words to spell out  sayings and lay them out with the picture
  3. I just put the biggest picture in the middle and have some smaller ones around it of out memorize and there you have it a great page!

Happy Halloween!

Happy late Halloween to everyone! I am sure you all had tons of fun! J Halloween is one of the funniest holidays out there! You get to dress up and be whoever you want to be. You don’t even have to dress up to have fun though you can go to a Halloween party just as yourself! For little kids is even better they get to go trick or treating and get tons of candy. So why not take some pictures and cherish that moment of your friends at that party with that totally hots guy, or you in your adorable costume! Also if you have that a 3 year old and its there first time trick or treating take some picture of them getting ready and going to the houses and knocking saying, “Trick or Treat!” so here are some easy steps to make a page:

  1. Lay out items you might use like candy wrappers or print out a pumpkin and a ghost or just whatever you think would be needed!
  2. Also print out some picture I printed out one big picture for one of my pages. Then to smaller pictures but all from the same night.
  3. Found some colors that contrast with what we are wearing or just something that will stand out.
  4. On both pictures put something that was Halloween related
  5. Last lay out the picture in any layout needed

That special someone!

I am sure everyone has that special someone who they are always with or just always thinking about. Why not do something special for them in return that would mean a lot to them. I know that my Boyfriend is always taking me out to eat and of course he is paying for it what kind of gentlemen would not. So in return make that special someone something to cherish and hold on to for memorizes and new ones also. You don’t just have to do a scrapbooking page I also make card, and picture frames. I make my boyfriend put them up in his room so other girls know that he is taken! I will show you some ways that you can make something special as simple as just making a cute card to making a page for a scrapbook since that’s what I do best!

Here is a picture frame that I decorarted by first finding some pictures of the past year that are funny or just adorable. Then placed sparkly stickers and spelled out both our names by adding XO at the end of it, which stands for hugs and kisses!

Here is a scrapbook page one of my favorites that I made for him. I love it becasue it is both of us acting funny and being cute, having a great time!
Here is one that I made for him when he went on vacation with me. I glued sand and sea shells o to a flat wooden picture frame and  placed a picture of us from the trip.

Here is jsut another page from his many that I have choosen to show you something to make and give you some ideas. hope that I have helped out some:)

College friends

There are always those friends in high school that you lose or just grow away from but I think the ones in college are the ones that you hold on to through out your life. They are the ones that are in your bridal shower, your bride’s maid. The ones who you make your best memories of you turning 21 and doing all the crazy, fun things that you might to do or already have done. Maybe even move in to a dorm after ICC and going to ISU and making even more memories. Just liked me I made a friend my first day of school. So I will show how to make scrapbook pages that you can give it to them or keep it for yourself and put it in your own scrapbook.

First, I printed out pictures from the night we hangout from the beginning to the end. Some funny and some cute that we did!!
Second, I gathered them and picked out stuff that matched the pictures and make them pop!
Third, I cut some tissue paper you can use any color and lay it on half the page with a border of color to contrast with you pictures! Then I went and put two pictures on two of the four corners of the page.
Fourth, cut a piece of the tissue paper. The piece of tissue paper can be any size you would like, that will divide the entire paper up into two sections. Put the pictures on different sides of the paper. The pictures can be where every you would like to put them.
Fifth, add stickers, ribbons, and whatever you would like to make the page fit to your standards.

I am going to show you step by step directions of what i am going to be doing to make the page!
  1. Print off as many pictures as you want to use on the pages. I using 3 and show you what you can do with them and can design how ever you feel like I am just trying to give you ideas!
  2. Plan out what you are going to use color coordinative the back ground to the picture I did here it will make it stand out more.
     3. Cut 2 pieces of pink tissue paper the same length for one of the background pink of course because it’s a girl and some black with white spots to show off my black shirt.
    4. Got traces letter and spelled out her name Odessa Dee! J Colored in the letters with pink to make the page coronate with the other one! As I have said before I like to do that.
5.For the second page I typed for the top right corner “here to the beginning”

Great Gifts

Have you ever not known what to get that special some one or just your sister or friend? Well I have the solution. It very meaningful and can be cheap depending on what you want to use. It’s a scrapbook of course! Its a wonderful gift, preserving special memories that will last a lifetime I have done several scrapbooks for gifts it means so much to them. It’s not that long of a process and you feel good for sharing your hard work. I have done one for my boy friend of him and I for our three-year anniversary of everything we did together. Also one to my friend Joy I knew her since we were like two so I had lots of memories and stories I could put into the scrapbook and gave to her when she went away for college. One day she will look back on the memories and just laugh. :) My most resent one I have not finished or even began. So right now I am just collecting items here and there from her baby shower and just funny pictures of her mom. This is for my niece Odessa she will be born some time this month and I am going to make one for her and give it to her when she is older or maybe her mom for her birthday I have not decided. So t o start out pick who are going make it for. Find all the funny, cute, or just random picture you have. Lay them out on the pages in chronological order, beginning with how you first meet them or just any way you like.  Then Wrap your gift and give it to them on their birthday or a going away gift or just whatever!

Introduction

Day one

Every week on Wednesday I will share a new project or idea I came up with. This will be something easy and fun to do for you new scrap bookers and me too. I hope you will enjoy them; it is a place where I share my love of scrapbooking and have some feedback as well from you guys on what you did or just anything you like to share as well. I think that it will help you guys be less stressful and not feel overwhelmed it very relaxing. Is really easy to start you just need one picture and some ideas and put it on paper. I had boxes and boxes of photos just doing nothing but collecting dust. I had also seen some really wonderful scrapbooking tools at my local craft store. They looked like so much fun, that I wanted them all. So, I knew that the time had come for me to try out scrapbooking. Celebrate:) It’s time for you to have some fun scrapping too! All you need is Albums, Paper, Scissors, Photo Safe Glues and Pens to start then you will get scrapbook fever and start collecting everything you see at stores. You can also use wrapping paper to it doesn’t have to be pricy anything around the house give it a look you can find stuff. Once you have your photos organized and have purchased some of the essential scrapbook supplies, you are ready to get your photos in your albums.
